Made using the traditional Japanese nagashizuki dipping and layering method of papermaking, this handmade artists' paper is made from the inner bark or bast fibre of Mitsumata (Edgewothia Papyrefera), a sustainable and renewable resource from a plant known as Argeli in Nepal and native to the Himalayan foothills. Smooth in texture, it is lighter toned and softer than Lokta, and is ideal for drawing with ink, calligraphy and printmaking. Available in 30gsm and with either added bamboo or tea leaf fragments.
Each sheet measures approximately 55x80cm. Sold per sheet.
