Founded by Newcastle Arts Centre in 1982 ‘Details’ is established as the North East's leading art materials shop, run by artists, for artists. You can be sure of helpful friendly advice whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist or designer.
Our stock includes a wide range of materials for painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpting and crafts, as well as a broad selection of brushes, tools and studio equipment. We also sell over 300 book titles, focused on all manner of art subjects from general beginners guides to specialist, material-specific tutorials. Much of our stock is available for mail order or through Click & Collect via this website, but we do have a larger range of products available in-store at our shop on Westgate Road.
