Made from the inner bark or bast fibre of Daphne Bholua, a plant native to the Himalayan foothills of Nepal, this medium textured handmade artists' paper is darker toned and has a harder surface than Mitsumata. Sustainable and renewable, it is made using a traditional Nepalese floating mould method in which the paper pulp is poured onto a frame before being dried in the sun. Available in 30gsm, 90gsm and 140gsm, Nepalese Lokta paper is ideal for ink, calligraphy and printmaking.
Each 30gsm sheet measures approximately 50x75cm. Each 90gsm or 140gsm sheet measures 50x65cm. Sold per sheet.
