Q. Who are we?

A. 'Details' is the North of England's premier art shop with over 7,000 products in stock at any one time. 'Details' is part of Newcastle Arts Centre Limited which is an independent arts based company in the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne. We have over 22 years of experience in the fine art materials trade.

Q. Is your website secure for credit card transactions?

A. The 'details' website uses a 128 bit encrypted secure server.
This means that all the data you provide is safe and secure.

Q. How do I buy online from your website?

A. Simply click on the main categories on the left hand side of the page and then a subcategory list will appear. Click on the product areas that you are interested in, the products will be listed, if you require more information on that product before purchasing then simply click on the product and a larger image and in many cases a longer description will appear. Add the product to the basket then either continue shopping to buy more products or go to the checkout. If you have not already created an account you will at this stage be asked to do so where you will be required to supply your name, address and a method of payment.

Q. What happens during registration?

A. Registration is a 2 stage process that verifies your address and banking information. Registration does not take payment from your bank and the information supplied is only accessed by our account manager to process your card payment when your order is ready for dispatch.
The card information you provide for payment must match the details registered with your bank for us to be able to process your order.
Your registration password is of your invention which you will use to access the information you have given and to place orders.

Q. What are your terms and conditions?

Q. How long will my order take to be delivered?

A. In most cases your order will be dispatched within 2 working days on a 48 hour courier to UK mainland addresses, except for Highlands and Islands of Scotland, please allow 2-3 extra working day for delivery. This is subject to available stock levels, and any unforeseen circumstances.

Q. Is it possible for you to source products that are not listed on your website?

A. This is no problem as not all of our stock is displayed online, please get in touch by phone to check availability.

Q. Do you produce a catalogue?

A. The website is our catalogue, If you need to discuss any products do not hesitate to get in touch. We are main suppliers for Winsor & Newton, Daler-Rowney, Talens and Pebeo, click here for their websites and contact us by phone or email to order.

Q. How much does delivery cost?

A. Please note at this time we only deliver to UK mainland and the Islands listed below.

Zone 1 England, Wales & Parts of Scotland
Orders under £40, £5 delivery charge.
Orders over £40.00 and up to £100, £3.50 delivery charge.
Orders over £100.00 and up to £500 there is no charge for delivery.

The above costs are limited to a maximum weight of 25 kilos and
some size restrictions.

Zone 3
zone 1 rates + £6.50 for Northern Ireland
zone 1 rates + £9.50 for Isle of Man
zone 1 rates + £9.50 for Isle of Scilly

Q. I have been asked, do I wish a split delivery?

A. A split delivery is when we don't have everything in stock that you ordered, but we can send on a later date. Please note there is a one off charge of £3.50 for this service, to cover the additional postage and packing. This amount would be added to your invoice.

Q. If paying by cheque, who do I make it payable to?

A. Cheques are payable to 'Newcastle Arts Centre Limited'.
Once you receive the confirmation of your order by email please print this and enclose this with your cheque.

Q. I'm having problems when trying to register?

A.
1. Passwords are case sensitive
2. Make sure cookies are active on your computer for our site
3. This site requires Java. Please note some versions of windows don't have Java you might need to download it from microsoft.
