Suitable as a temporary varnish for paintings that are touch-dry (after a few days), Retouching Varnish allows the paint film underneath to continue curing, making it ideal for protecting your recently completed oil paintings before they can be varnished properly with an Artists' or Dammar varnish (when thoroughly dry after a few months). Able to be overpainted, this UV resistant gloss varnish balances out surface sheen and is itself quick drying. Use in thin layers once your painting is touch-dry, and do not use as a medium.
