Derived from pine trees, distilled turpentine is the most traditional solvent and can be used to both thin your oil paints and clean your brushes. Highly efficient at removing even dried oil, alkyd and acrylic colours from brushes, other painting tools and palettes, it can also be used to remove varnishes (including Dammar) before re-varnishing. A strong and hazardous thinner, please use cautiously and dispose of responsibly.
